One Thing or Another #61: Andrew Nowick, Mayor of Lambertville, NJ, Joins the Podcast

Join me for a conversation with Andrew Nowick, mayor of Lambertville, New Jersey. It’s my favorite small city, and a frequent destination just 20 minutes from our home. Andrew talks about his life, family, and what it’s like to be a mayor.

About Mayor Andrew Nowick

Andrew Nowick was brought up in Western Massachusetts and lived a varied, meandering life until he met Paul Scoggins in 1998. They fell in love and settled in NYC, where Andrew finally earned his BA (summa cum laude) in English from Hunter College. They adopted two baby boys before moving to West Amwell in 2004. In 2007, they added a third baby boy to the family, and in 2011 moved to their present house on North Union Street in Lambertville. Like residents of any community, Andrew and Paul have sought to add as much value as they themselves were offered. Andrew has served on local boards and committees and chipped in whenever and wherever he could. The profound stability of his family life, coupled with a deep appreciation for the people of Lambertville inspired him to run a successful campaign for Mayor. When not mayoring, he likes to hang out with his family, go for long walks with his dog Archer, and fall asleep while reading.
